"Woke Up In A Spiral Through Your Eyes" is the final result of a work of assembling different tracks, with the final intention of creating a long form piece divided into two sections. These tracks were initially conceived as soundtracks for an event organized by some friends. Anyway, this sonic material was more than sound design for me, it is a kind of more psychedelic stuff. So basically the more I immersed myself in it, the more I felt i've been swallowed by a sonic vortex. I used different techniques and the final dough Is certainly quite dense, as you can breathe the air of another planet, made of different alien soundscapes.....

have yet to translate the song titles so the artist's intentions are somewhat of a mystery to me, but the wavering surface noise creates the theme of a dialogue between music & technology before becoming invisible to my ears. this conjures memories of listening to music as a child (long before the sterility of digital media), when i rarely took notice of the hiss & pops of records, 8-tracks, tapes, & am radio because they were a normal, necessary aspect of recorded sound. nice to be back again.
